Region & Geography: The Mbeya region grows some of the finest coffees in East Africa . Unfortunately, processing the crop in this region has been a real challenge for many small farmers due to lack of water and equipment. To assist these smallholder coffee producers in this region, The Hope Project established 26 central pulpery units that help process the coffee under strict quality control.

This coffee has a winey fruit fragrance. it can handle a variety of roast levels even a dark roast. At the light roast the coffee is bright but lower in acidty than other African coffees
Cupping Character: This bourbon variety denotes a pleasant bright, citrus acidity with a medium body. Nice sweet berry finish lingers long after the sip. We are repeatedly delighted with the overall flavor of this organically grown coffee every time we drink it.
